Have you ever been out for a nice long run and you're towards the end and your legs start aching a little, and your nose is starting to run faster than you are and you aren't sure if you can make it? Then the perfect song comes on the ipod and you get the excitement and energy to run faster. Yesterday I thought I would take advantage of the 4o degree weather and get out and run, it was a great run! The trail is still packed with snow from Tuesdays storm and everything was so white and snowy beautiful and peaceful. However with a little over 1/2 mile left I needed a little boost and the song Defying Gravity from Wicked came onto the ipod. The song started a little slow but it has a great beat and gave me the excitement and energy to run. By the end of the song not only was I running full speed ahead but I had the urge to break out in song and sing along with Elphaba at the top of my lungs! I felt so triumphant! I decided to work on a playlist I can listen to during the half marathon that's coming up in March, does anyone have any favorite songs that get them pumped up? I'd love suggestions!

I am a nerd, but I always get pumped up by a good old school rap song. You know like California Love or something. I am proud of you for running. I can't make myself run in the cold. I like to do DDR for my exercise, but I can't wait until the snow melts and I can go out and run again. Do you remember our 10K together? Patriotic Princesses.
Linds & Kev - Hi! So I thought I'd come out of the darkness to let you know that I actually do read this wonderful little blog of your lives. You have way too much fun by the way. Anyway, hope y'all are doing well! As for songs.... it depends on the type that you like more... seeing as you're pumped by a 'Wicked' song, I'd say you're tastes are broad enough for something different. I listen to a lot of Jazz....yes, I know... you get lost inside of it if you know what's going on. Stereotypical good songs are:
The theme song from 8 mile - Eminem
Heart of A Champion - Nelly
Remember the Name - Fort Minor
Let me know if you want some more.... I have copies of all those and tonz of others if you need them.

We're not as up to date as y'all, but ya know... about once or twice a month is what we go for.
