Yesterday was my last day of work. I woke up at six and was able to stay in bed today!! Yesterday was a good day at work too, so it helps me feel like I will want to go back. As I was driving home, thinking about my freedom from work, I made a small list of things I will miss, things I will definitely not miss, and things I look forward to doing during the next two and a half months.
Things I will miss...
1. Arnoldo and Luis. These were my two favorite people at work. Luis was my catering partner and he is so funny, he always sings in Spanish and is fun to talk to. Arnoldo is the dish washer and doesn't speak English. He calls me Nancy, and at least once or twice a week he asks me "hey, your name Nancy?" and I say "No LINDSEY" and he says "LEENCEE?" Ya... Then he starts laughing so hard and says Leencee and walks away, the next day he starts calling me Nancy and we have the same conversation a few days later... I don't know why but I laugh so hard every time too, and I am going to miss that.
2. The Paycheck... those are nice.
3. My daily tuna sandwich. It sure is delicious and I enjoyed the free lunch and breakfast everyday.
4. The Busy-ness. I do like having something forcing me to be busy everyday, It helps me manage time and makes time go by quickly. I just wish it was like 35 hours a week and not 50
Things I will definitely not miss at all...
1. Early Mornings. I don't like to be up before 6. I just don't, and I don't know that I ever will.
2. Black pants and long sleeve white shirt and ponytail everyday. That shirt got so hot!
3. Aching feet. Walking all over for 8-10 sometimes even 12 & 13 hours a day takes a toll on your on your feet, Now my feet won't mind going running because I won't have been on them all day.
4. Busy-ness. Even though its on my other list, I feel like this job takes up too much time most times and I don't have time to do other things I like.
Things I look forward to...
1. Relaxing and reading. I have a list of books I have started or want to read and I am excited to relax and have time to read and enjoy.
2. Get in shape. Sometimes I do okay balancing work and working out, but sometimes I am so tired and my feet hurt that I can't feel the motivation, I hope to get a jump start so when I go back to work I have the habit.
3. Seeing family and friends. My parents were in town last week and I had to work everyday, it will be so nice to see them and not have to work.
4. Going to the beach. I really like the beach and I am excited!
The House is clean, I am almost finished packing and in four or five hours we are on the road!
Hawaii here we come!
I'll try to keep you posted :)

yeah for you!
Hooray Linds for no more work this summer. So you implied you are going back, for some reason I thought you were quitting for good. It will be nice to have a job when you get back though.
Anyways have such a fun trip to Hawaii. I hope that your insane long drive today is safe and goes by quickly. Like I said before, if you need anything as you drive by Tucson you are welcome to stop by no matter what time it is.
Good luck with the packing. Also where are you staying in Palo Alto? Did you ever find anything. I hope so!
Good for you Linds. You guys are going to have a GREAT summer. Enjoy it!
Yea for Hawaii-and wow you really really deserve to go with the many hours you work. My longest shift is 13-hours and I do it one-a-week, I don't know how you do it all the time-you are amazing. I can't wait to see you soon. Have a safe trip!
It has been a while since I blogged so it took me a while to catch up on yours! I Love all of the remodeling! You have quite the talent!
