Ew, what is on Kev's pillow? Hint- It didn't come from the drain, it's not from my brush, and we don't have any pets... So what is it? Its a HAIRNET! A hairnet they made me wear on Friday at work. I just thought it was a funny joke to put it on Kev's pillow :)
The hairnet is not the worst part about my job, but it doesn't help. I was really excited about this job, I really enjoyed working in the bakeries at Culinary Crafts and Sundance so I thought it would be cool to work in the bakery with the opportunity to work events and in the office a little. So I go my first day to work in the bakery, but there is no bakery, all the baked goods they use are either frozen or picked up from the store. They tell me they want me to bake some rolls and stuff, but they have no recipes. Everything was so disorganized and it was crazy to me that they had no standard recipes or menus or anything it was so different than anything I was use to. And the kitchen has no air conditioning- it was like 95 degrees all day- that was my biggest complaint! Day one I came home and just cried. Day two was better but I just feel confused because I am not sure what exactly they want me to do- they say bake, but they don't have the kind of ingredients you need to bake, I can't create much with a bag of AP flour and a little jar of yeast. I came home exhausted from all the heat in the kitchen, and dreaded having to go back. I thought about it all weekend and decided that I don't want a job I dread after only two days. I hated the environment, so hot, lots of cursing and no organization, and the pay wasn't even that great... So today the job search begins, again!

Good luck with that -- but i agree -- you have to do something you enjoy -- otherwise, it just isn't worth it, no matter how great the money.....that is what i have learned over the last year. Besides, when you find something you like -- the money will come and it will be worth it! Let me know what you find! miss you!
I'm sorry it didn't work out. At least now you can come to our swimming party next week if you want! :) I'll keep my ears out to see if I hear of anything.
You definitely want to enjoy your work. Keep looking... You'll find the right one
Bummer about the job! That's so frustrating! Any luck with the new job hunt?
