Here is a little update on Coop. I have been working on his photo album journal book and it has been so helpful to me to go back and read posts from this year. I have been in a blogger slump and I don't like to post as much, probably because I can't I can't keep Cooper from sneaking up on me and reaching his hand around to push what ever buttons he can. Anyways it has motivated me to get back to blogging about him more often for my my benefit. It may be six months to a year before I make it to the December 2010 of his album.
This little man loves to make noise, around Halloween he was making a lot of mama mama noises which was fun. He doesn't say any words though, we tried to teach him to wave and say Hi, but it was easier to teach him to wave and scream. He always plays with cars and make rumbling car noises, it's so cute!
He has 6 sharp teeth, 4 on top and 2 on the bottom and around Thanksgiving he got another one on the bottom and a week later his 8th tooth broke through, the new teeth aren't dangerous yet but they are getting close! Coop loves to bite everything, my shoulders, blankets, shoes, and toys. He still loves to have something to carry in his mouth, his blanket, his shoe, cars, giant craft eyes; whatever he can find goes right in his mouth and then its back to crawling around. He is getting to be a better eater. He doesn't care for baby food much anymore but eats bagels or mini pancakes for breakfast, quesadillas or chicken nuggets for lunch and whatever we are eating for dinner. He is good about eating vegetables too. He loves yogurt and pudding of course and the other day we fed him jello and he started laughing so much, he thought it was the funniest food and he would slurp it in and out of his little mouth!
He loves to bounce to music. If a commercial with a fun song comes on he stops whatever he is doing, waves one hand in the air and bounces up and down. He loves any toy that makes noise and often dances to the music of the toy. He is in a fun mimicking stage so anything I do he tries. Sometimes I bellow into an empty bottle or a pipe and he takes it from me and makes noise into it as well. He has started to clap and now if we ask him to clap he understands and usually does it, if he isn't grouchy.
He loves being outside so we have been taking more trips to the park or the outdoor mall to do some window shopping.
He is getting better at walking with his push toys but still makes no attempt to even stand on his own. I had been anxious for him to walk, but he is into everything right now so I don't mind a crawler for a little while more. He is fast when he crawls and every time I change his diaper he likes to play a game where as soon as I try to put the new diaper on he wiggles away and crawls out of the room. Then he peeks his cute little face in and gives me the come and get me look and I have to chase him down while he laughs and laughs. It is cute and thankfully he does pretty good about not peeing without a diaper!
This is such a fun time, even though he seems to be extra needy for my attention, I like to give it to him because we actually play together and its really fun!
