I just experienced the most exhausting, stressful, hectic, busy, week of my life! My patience was tried, my gag reflexes put to use, my washing machine never stopped, and my brain was frazzled; However I had so much fun, laughed so hard, learned so much, loved even more, and gained a greater appreciation for mothers and also for freedom! From Sunday to Sunday I was a mother of two to my sister Collynn's kids, Ryann and Jack.
Ryann is four and loves to talk, and even more she loves to ask questions, lots of them nonstop, after a while I lose patience and stop answering. But I loved when she asked Kevin questions and he gives her real scientific answers of why things are the way they are, it was awesome!
Jack is two and in diapers, causing the gagging, but he really is the cutest kid. He talks really well and I love when he says words like silly and belly because it sounds so cute!
Being a mom was so hard because I had to learn how to get the things done that I needed, while still tending to the needs of two different kids. Keeping them entertained in a little basement apartment with just a few coloring and sticker books and some movies was a challenge. We spent lots of time at the Kangaroo Zoo, which was a life saver, and running errands. One of my favorite activities was Costco. We spent nearly three hours there and I was able to get all my shopping done as well as sample every sample and explore the entire store.
By Sunday though, I was more than ready for Collynn and Scott to come home. I had fun and I feel like each day I learned something new to make mothering easier and I was excited about that, but it is tiring, and my house needed a good cleaning. I just want to tell all the moms that you guys are amazing, way to go!

Just so you and Kev want to have kids some day I will tell you that it doesn't start out so crazy. That is why they usually come one at a time and sleep all the time for the first few months...it eases you in gradually. You look like you did an amazing job though...you are going to be a great mom someday!
Hey, your hair is dark. I don't remember it being like that.
