I have finally gotten another job so I can complete my internship and graduate. Starting Tuesday I will be working with the pastry chef at Sundance. I am really excited! We will be making all the breads and desserts for the Tree Room, The Foundry Grill, the Deli and all the banquets. It will be a really great opportunity and I get to start right in the excitement of the Sundance Film Festival. The downside is that because it is a bakery job I have to be at Sundance by 5 am and so I will be driving on the snowy roads at 4:30 five days a week. I am a tad nervous. However they do make delicious desserts like yummy panna cotta and bread puddings!Even though I am doing my best to refrain from desserts, I may have to indulge a little! Speaking of delicious desserts we went to Pizzeria 7 12 last night. I had read a review in the paper and was really excited to check it out. The owners came from Sundance and the idea is if they use great and tasty ingredients they can make simple foods great and tasty. The pizza was pretty good but they had this sweet potato bacon salady appetizer that was incredible, I will be craving it daily... And their desserts looked amazing! We didn't try one because I was being strong, but everyone around us had them and they had a delicious looking panna cotta and this smore thing and a banana something, I was drooling! Maybe I ought to celebrate getting the job and head back for some dessert!

Hey! Pizzeria 712 is awesome--and yes, it is very "Sundance connected". Did the artwork on the wall look familiar? It's from my brother Chris. Congrats on the internship! Luckily it's almost spring (right?!).
CONGRATS - I AM HAPPY TO HEAR YOU DID GET IT! AND I HAVE BEEN EATING A LOT OF GOOD DESSERTS LATELY, AND NOT FEELING AS GUILTY AS I PROBABLY SHOULD! OH WELL! HEY, AT LEAST YOU ARE EXERCISING! IT WAS GREAT TALKING TO YOU THE OTHER DAY! WE'LL CHAT SOON!

Yea I am so glad that you got your internship worked out! I am sorry that you have to go so early in the morning. Good luck this week!
Hey, Linds!!! Congrats on the job! I am absolutely green with envy!! I am still in the process of looking for a job. I actually heard your news from Chef Troy. I went to the OneRepublic concert on Wednesday and I snuck down to the kitchen to chat. *sigh* I kinda miss school and everyone. Anywho, that's so great! Keep me posted!!!

Congrats to you Linds I am happy for you, but also scared for you driving in the snow...it sounds like a good internship though. Also I have been hearing tons about that place Pizzeria 712, I think I need to go try it.
I am getting hungry just reading about your new internship! One of these days when I am in town we will have to have a gathering where you treat us to the new delicacies you are learning to make!
