For those of you who have not found the time yet to read Breaking Dawn, don't worry I WON'T GIVE ANYTHING AWAY HERE. I just finished tonight and Kevin is one happy husband! I was just interested in what people thought of the book, so either vote to the right, or post a comment with your thoughts on the book. If you haven't read the book, maybe don't read the comments... Yet.

Honestly,I didn't love this one as much. It wasn't as addictive and gripping as the others and I was disappointed in the amount sex and cursing... it didn't fit. I expected sex but I didn't think 300 pages was necessary. I also felt it was predictable so having to read through the hundreds of pages of sex just to get to the story was boring. However, this book did control my days and nights the past four days. I liked how she tied up all the ends. I was happy she was able to have a baby, because that was one reason I was a Jacob fan in previous books. I was glad it worked out for her to still be around Charlie. And overall I was entertained, I just had a headache from all the eye rolling I had to do.
Decided not to read this one because of comments like the previous one. 300 pages of sex? I'd rather do than read about it, so I won't be reading this one. I wikipedia-ed it and read the synopsis and conclusion from the book. Didn't sound as interesting. Her books were gripping because they left some mystery. Seems like this book put everything you wanted in a package and put it under your Christmas tree. Stories are better when something has to be sacrificed, you know? For some reason, I enjoyed Harry Potter with everyone getting married, having children and living happily ever after. This novel series didn't leave me like that. Boo, Stephanie. You chose incorrectly. Don't you know why Titanic was such a huge hit???
I know, I was all pumped up for a big battle, there was great potential for an exciting ending but I knew it wasn't happening since by the time the battle possibility was introduced the book was 4/5 over.
I just finished book three today --- so will start on book four and hopefully be able to discuss it with you come early next week!
xoxoxo
steph
ps - still no baby -- which is good -- decided he needed to come next week not today!
I thought the book was okay. I liked the second half a lot better than the first half. Things definitely dragged a little and some of it was just really bizarre. All that said, I'm okay with how it all ended. Call me sappy, but I am glad that Jacob finally has someone else to love and that Bella and Edward get to be happily ever after.
The book (actually the series) is overall quite cheesy and silly a lot of the time, but enjoyable enough for a little teenage addictive reading...not that the last book was all that teenager appropriate :)
Well, I acually LOVED LOVED LOVED the book. It was different from the others, but in a good way. Stephenie came right out and said early on that their relationship was going to progress to "that point", so I knew there was going to so-called sex stuff. There's no discussion of it, though. I mean, it's their HONEYMOON for pete's sake! Anyhoo, I loved it. It was interesting to read from Jacob's POV, tho it kinda creeped me out that he imprinted on a "baby" fresh out of his former-love's womb. Ick. Those last few pages made me all warm and fuzzy, tho. He couldn't help but kiss her! No matter how hard he tried...
HEllo!
I'm not quite done yet, but not sure how I feel about the book other than it's been driving me CRAZY!
how's the job hunt going ---- can't talk until tomorrow cuz out of minutes today and it is the last day of my cycle --- but as soon as 9 pm my time hits, or if you have a verizon service phone -- want to hear an update of the job hunt and your life in texas.
i have read the 1st chapter -- but more thoughts to come as soon as i finish
I Loved the book. It had the Romance with out the details. I think it's not a book for eleven year olds but then again it's no worse then PG-13 movie. If you think about it what book has made you so excited to read and occupied your time the way these books have. It's not always good for the marriage (I ignored my kids and husband for 4 days until the book was finished)but what a thrill to be so engrossed in something that doesn't come along every day. I'm sad but satisfied to see it end and just happy that Stephenie Meyer will be taking the next year to write her new projects. I can't wait to read more from my favorite writer.

LOL at the eye-rolling - so true. Everything is just a little too perfect in that world. I also found the book disappointing, as there wasn't nearly as much action/suspense as there was in the previous books. She really needed to do some further editing, because I thought it really dragged compared to the first three books. I guess she was rushed to finish it and didn't have time to really edit (? that's what I've heard), but it was by far my least favorite book in the series.
I finally finished! I thought it was good but I I'll have to say the first one was my favorite because their was that that whole "she's a human he's a vampire thing". I am a sucker for happy endings and I am glad that everything worked out for EVERYONE!!
