The Garage

Every weekend Kev and I pick a project from our long list, and we tackle it. Last weekend we chose the garage. Kev's dad had given us some type of acrylicky garage floor paint so we cleaned out the garage, Washed the floor with a little tide, and got ready to paint...
Ta Da! A new shiny floor that wipes up easy, no more oil stains or grime! With such a fresh floor the walls looked even worse! I couldn't stand it, so being unemployed, I decided to take on the walls this week... It was quite the long hot project,
But totally worth it! The pest control man who was visiting the neighbors told me we had the cleanest garage he has ever seen!
And the best news was that just as I finished the project I got offered a job... Not to organize garages like you must be thinking, but Tuesday I interviewed for a catering supervisor position for a company called Aramark. They do a lot of corporate catering and were looking for someone to fill the position over at Valero. So I will be working in the beautiful Valero buildings, not too far from home, making sure that all the breakfasts and luncheons are set up and served on time. The greatest thing is that it is mainly Monday to Friday during the days. I still get to cater and have nights and weekends off! Its amazing! Yippidee doo da!

Super impressed with your projects. I think that that really is the cleanest garage I have seen. Also congrats on the job. It sounds like a great one...nights and weekends off...you won't know what to do with yourself. I need to call you and chat soon. I was reading an old journal and read an entry about Thayne and James days...so funny!

I totally excited about your job! Aramark catered my wedding reception at the Florida Aquarium and did a great job. You'll be great! :)
