Kevin is officially an intern. Today is his first day off this month. In the past 9 days he worked about 140 hours. He left the house at 4:30 and would get home between 8 and 10. We miss him. This is how we kept busy this week...
We made our own little water park. Its fun to have in the backyard. Coop was a little hesitant at first, and he was also in his birthday suit, so I got a bowl of water to dump on the slide and I pushed him. He FLEW down that slide, it was awesome for me to watch, but a little traumatic for him and it took a while before he would go again, however with his Super Hero Batman undies he got just the right amount of speed and he loved it! Yesterday we went to Sea World Aquatica. It is amazing!! They have some super fun waterslides for the kids and he had a blast. It was so funny watching him as he tried to get used to the sensation of wearing a life jacket in deeper water. He could touch the bottom but was not sure how to walk in water so I pretty much dragged him, by the arm of his life vest, through the water. Juggling Maggie in one arm and catching him and dragging him through the water with the other is a little tough but I think if we go twice a week I will soon get the hang of it and hopefully sculpt my arms a little! Coop took a couple of random naps. He often fights a nap and then falls asleep at 5 and makes bedtime difficult so I have been skipping naps a lot of the time. Sometimes though he gets so tired and crashes mid bounce! We had a fun 4th of July we went to a pancake breakfast and then walked to the Leon Valley Parade. Lots of old people, lots of candy and surprisingly lots of fun. Cooper is terrified of gun shot sounds and fire works. But he loved gathering all the candy that they tossed to the kids. Checking out his loot. Later that day we went swimming and eating at a friends. It was fun but not the same without Kev and we went to bed before real fire works went off, I just listened to some of them. On Thursday and Friday I was busy making a cake for a friend's Mom's birthday. I forget how much work they are but I enjoy the practice. And Mags started to sit! She would sit on her own for a few seconds before falling but last night when Kev got home she just sat and sat and sat. I guess she was saving it all for him. It was awesome!!
