Girls Weekend!

This weekend I reunited with Steph and Mariley for a much needed girls weekend! I have missed these girls! Our husbands were all in school together and we became such great friends so it was so fun to get together after 6 months of not seeing each other. Steph is living in Salt Lake and Mariley flew in from Arizona on Thursday morning and I got to Steph's house that afternoon. It was so fun to just be together! We went up to Park City to stay the night. We took a wrong turn and ended up near the Olympic Park so we decided to just check it out real quick...

After a little bit of confusion in the hotel parking lot we made it to our room. It was so nice and comfy but we were starving so we started walking up Main Street to find yummy food. We enjoyed some delicious pizza and picked up some treats from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory before heading back to our hotel. That night we relaxed in the hot tub and tried out the hot chocolate and smores offered by the hotel. When we ordered the smores they gave us bags with smores fixins and pointed us to the very public fire pit outside. We were in our swimsuits and towels but that didn't stop us, after we scared away the two couples who were enjoying the fire as well we had the fire pit to ourselves and that was nice. We ended the night cozy in bed watching a movie. That night we all slept free from cries from kids and slept in until nine! It was heavenly!

In the morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast and then went back to Salt Lake so that we could go to the Salt Lake Temple for a session. It was awesome and afterwards we went to explore City Creek Center a little. We didn't explore much though because we got sucked in to H&M and shopped like crazy, well about as crazy as the wives of underpaid interns can shop without feeling too guilty! But we were shocked by Mariley who walked out of there with the biggest bag, even though she did get the very best deals- a dress for $2.50 and some super cute shirts for $3.50 each! We got some super yummy dinner at The Blue Lemon and then we hung out at Steph's all night watching dumb shows and laughing till our faces hurt!

 

 On Saturday we went to Provo and I got my kids so that Ethan and Anna and Cooper and Maggie could play. We went to a park and hung out for a while. Mariley impressed us with her monkey bars and flip tricks, and Steph had some fun with the kids doing a train down the slide. It was such a nice day to be out and it was so fun to play with the kids and watch them playing together. We hit up J-Dawgs and then went to my parents house to let the kids play more while we hung out.

 

It was so fun to get together and hang out with and without kids! I hope this is something we will be able to do once a year!! Thanks gals your the best!
