Five Years of Marriage
Saturday Kevin and I celebrated 5 happy years of marriage! The day was legendary! I woke up with the kids so Kev could rest up for the full day ahead. Once he woke up he watched the kids so I could go for a run. The weather was cool and breezy and it is so nice to run without a jogger stroller, I was able to run and think, and I knew it was going to be a fantastic day. When I got back Kev was able to go for a bike ride, once he was back and we were showered and ready to go we dropped the kids off at a friends and we headed out for our day together. We started out by going to the movies. We rarely go to movies, so it was fun to get popcorn and enjoy The Hunger Games. I loved it! Then we headed to Sea World. I love living so close that we can just stop by for a few hours of fun. Our goal was to ride all the rollercoasters since I had not ever been on them because we always have kids at Sea World. I was bummed when we got there and the Steel Eel was closed! So we went on the Great White and headed over to the Atlantis ride. We got pretty wet on Atlantis but its so fun and the line was short so we rode again, then we saw the Steel Eel running so we got to ride that one too, it was awesome, however I am getting too old for roller coasters, they make me feel very rattled.
Here we are all wet!
After Sea World we picked up the kids, got cleaned up, and then dropped the kids off at another friends house so that we could enjoy a romantic and most delicious dinner at The Melting Pot. It was lovely! The Melting Pot is one of those places you only go to celebrate big. Its a lot of food, a lot of calories, and a lot of money, but it was oh so delicious!! The artichoke spinach cheese fondue was incredible! I am going to try and recreate it sometime at home! They also make you feel very special. The hostess seated us and congratulated us on 5 years, then she placed a card on the tabled and said, this is for the two of you, and the envelope said, The Two of You. I thought at first it must be a key to the Fantasy Suite, but it turned out just to be a card signed from all the melting pot workers. Oh well.
It was a sweet anniversary with the sweetie of my dreams!
