3 Months

Maggie is now 3 months. She weighs 13 pounds and has such sweet and squishy cheeks and thighs! She is such a delightful baby right now. She is very smiley and very vocal. She will gurgle and coo and make all sorts of fun noises, but we have yet to get a giggle.

She still gets up 2-3 times during the night to eat and usually we both end up sleeping and cuddling on the couch most of the night. She really doesn't cry very much but when she does she can get very angry very fast!

She loves to be in a standing postition, she is a very strong little girl. If she gets grumpy, she can usually be calmed down by being held in a standing position. She doesn't like to be on her tummy very much anymore, but she loves to lay on her back and kick and wiggle. No rolling over yet but she can squirm her way around in a full circle.

It is so fun to have a little girl to dress up with bows and cute little outfits. I tried to paint her little toes the other day but she was so wiggly and ticklish, I got nail polish all over her little feet. Next time I will wait for her to fall asleep.

Cooper is such a wonderful big brother! He loves to give her a hug and kiss each night and he always wants to share toys and blankets with her. I have started giving them baths together and he tries to help by pouring water on her head, at first he just dumped a whole cup on her head but now he is getting to be much more gentle. Cooper is so fun right now as he is learning to talk more. His most used phrases are donwanit- one word, all the time, Mon, amon-this means come on and he will grab your hand and say it over and over until you go with him, he is very persistent, and More feeze this is what he says when he wants more milk. Some days he eats hardly any food and only wants milk. We have been working on sayin more milk please but his more and milk sound the same, so instead he sometimes says More cow preeze. Cooper loves to play in the kiddie pool out back and he hates to have wet clothes. This results in him playing naked most of the afternoon everyday. At first it was hard because we were always putting his diaper on and off as he would play, then come in to watch a little show or play trains, then go outside again. He had two accidents in the house, the first one he just peed on the floor but the second time he pooped and then tried to clean it himself, rubbing it into the carpet, and then he drove his cars through it. It was nasty but lately he has been really good about not going to the bathroom in the house. If he is inside and needs to go to the bathroom he runs outside and does his thing. The first time he did this he came in with a big smile and said I pee pee I pee pee! Wipe preesh! So I gave him a wipe and he ran outside and started wiping up his poop in the grass! Now I know when he says pee pee it means #2 and I need to clean up after him. We joke now that he is house trained like a little puppy, I hope by the end of the summer he will be potty trained. Yesterday he got his first pack of underwears! His favorite foods right now are his cup of milk, of course, waffles with syrup, edamame, strawberry applesauce, popcorn, chocolate, bananas, watermelon, strawberries, candy and noodles. His favorite books are Green Eggs and Ham, The Three Little Pigs, Sesame Street Books and the childrens Book of Mormon. No night time routine is complete without reading from all of these! His favorite toys are his Finn McMissile car, it comes with us EVERYWHERE, his kiddie pool, rockets, and little action figure guys. His favorite shows are Yo Gabba, Monster Truck shows, Toy Story, and Cars. This kid loves TV too much! We have been having lots of friends over lately and he is becoming much more social and looks forward to friends so much that we have to wait until they are almost here to talk about them other wise he cries at the door all morning! These kids keep us busy but it is so fun and I am so glad I get to stay home with them and watch them learn and grow!!
